ivy. is now reading submissions
ivy. is now accepting and reading submissions for our inaugural run of stories. We are looking for positive, speculative fiction with wordcounts of less than 400 words.
Just like the plant we are named after, ivy. finds cracks and breaks apart barriers. As homeowners, it’s a nuisance; as writers and readers, ivy. is an opportunity to imagine ways in which systems of oppression can fall apart and lead to a more equal world.
To submit your story to ivy. please send it, along with your cover letter, to submissions@ivylit.com. Submissions will close after receiving 200 stories. Please carefully read the submission and story details before submitting your piece.
What we want to read.
Vibes. Optimistic, speculative, relationship-driven, hopeful.
Focuses. Anything, but especially Solar Punk and Fixing the Apocalypse. Environmental writing and stories that involve humans (or aliens, or whatever) interacting symbiotically with nature.
